Biography

I'm writing a book, THE LOST ART OF BEING A DAME, celebrating the dames who have gone before, and cultivating the dame that lies within.

I would LOVE to hear from YOU. What makes a dame a dame? Got any dame-y tips? Who are your favorite dames?

Me? I've been putting the "broad" in broadcasting for nearly 2 decades. Currently I'm Senior Editorial Director for MTV Networks' The N -- also a freelance writer, seminar leader, and blogger for the WE network.

In the past I've worked for "Oprah Goes Online", Oxygen, Thirteen (PBS in NYC), Noggin, American Movies Classic, the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, Atomic Magazine, BUST, the New York Post, various bodybuilding gyms, and the New York City Public School System.

Interests

I like reading (non-fiction mostly), animals -- including my 2 dogs and 4 parrots, flea markets, running in Central Park, Perry Mason on DVD, vintage "femorabilia," classic movies, Eleni Mandell, Dwight Yoakam.
